4DMU Edu is a software solution allowing to realize reviews of collaborative projects in a 3D environment from volume models coming from different software of industrial design and building. 4DMU Edu allows to generate immersive project reviews, technical documentation, training and marketing documentation.

Functionality:

Exploration of a 3D digital model from:

• Files with generic extensions such as .fbx (REVIT Autodesk), .3dxml, .step, .stl, .obj,...
• Native files of many software programs such as SolidWorks (.sldprt, .sldasm) Catia (.CATProduct, .CATPart), Inventor (.ipt/iam)

Management of textures, materials and colours according to the file format

Several ways to explore the model : 

• Computer screen PC, tablet,...
• Stereo visualization (video projector and 3D glasses)
• Immersive mode (3D headset)
• Mixed mode (PC screens, headsets, etc.)
• Possible extension for Cube 3D

Collaborative sessions with several speakers in the same 3D scene with different points of view

Scene management with:

• Creation and management of levels of detail (LOD)
• Association of external representations (models, images,...) by hypertext links
• Adding content to the 3D model

Realistic rendering" option with specific lighting, material rendering,...
